The 80,000-square-foot YMCA facility was built along with the Athletes residences so they could be used in the PAM AM games. It includes two swimming pools (one with a moveable floor), a youth activity centre, activity room, play structure, fitness studio, gymnasium and ancillary athletic and wellness areas built on the principles of inclusiveness to be a centre of excellence for accessibility meeting or exceeding code requirements including the requirement to meet LEED® Silver.

The 225,000-square-foot George Brown residence adjoining the pools comprises two nine-storey buildings, each with seven residential floors to house 500 students during the school year, with use as hotel and conference centre in the summer. We were glad to be the electrical contractor of choice on this project.
