Electrical Project Coordinator

JOB DESCRIPTION:
– Assist site managers and project manager in tracking analysis and forecasting of the project.
– Undertake pre-subcontractor qualifications.
– Assist in tracking, monitoring, and analyzing productivity data where applicable.
– Perform labour tracking duties to support project management and payroll.
– Assist in scheduling, site coordination and commissioning efforts.
– Coordinate as-built drawing requests from field staff, project manager with office and outside resources.
– Process shop drawings and reviewing documentation.
– Assist in vendor shop drawings, process requests for information (RFI), deliveries and tracking.
– Answer site-specific questions for the project.
– Assist in ESA applications and inspections
– Assist in reviewing quotes and issuing purchase orders with PM approval.
– Assist PM to ensure all safety requirements are met.
– Perform other duties as required.

EXPERIENCE:
– 2 to 3+ years’ experience as a Project Coordinator in a commercial/industrial electrical contractor setting.
Experience:
– 2 to 3+ years’ experience as a Project Coordinator in a commercial/industrial electrical contractor setting.
– Technical understanding and experience working with the Canadian Electrical Code Part I, II and III is required.

SKILLS:
– Experience with Jonas Accounting Software preferred.
– Experience with Accubid
– Excellent project coordination, organizational and planning skills.
– Creative, participative and flexible approach to managing work assignments.
– Strong ability to work effectively and independently with minimal supervision.
– High degree of self-motivation, resilience, adaptability and flexibility.
– Developed computer skills (word processing, presentation software, project planning software, spreadsheet etc) are required.
– Highly developed oral, facilitation and communication skills.

TRAVEL:
– Some occasional limited travel (usually within GTA) will be required.
– Must have valid and current ‘G’ class Ontario’s drivers’ license as well as access to a personal vehicle.

Account Manager – Electrical Services

The Account Manager for Electrical Services Division includes the following:
Estimating, Project Management and Business Development for a combination of Residential and Commercial clients in the electrical Services Division.

The Account Manager will project manage the projects that they estimated and were awarded under $200,000. They work with procurement to order material and then manage the labour and material to complete the job. They will participate in operation meetings where required to review the performance of their projects.

Sales, marketing, business development and client relations for the Electrical Services division and collaborating with other divisions and Birnie client base to help grow business in those divisions is all part of this role.

REPORT TO:
Vice President, Electrical Services & Client Relations

DESCRIPTION:
Guided by BIRNIE Electric’s overall brand experience, best practice, and business plan, the Account Manager, Electrical Services is accountable for working closely with their colleagues, electricians, other managers and key stakeholders to ensure that the division delivers quality service, brand experience and meets budget expectations.

– Estimate, project manage and business development for residential & commercial clients and opportunities for Electrical Services department to maximize efficiency, growth, and profitability.
– Deliver on profitability of project estimated and awarded.
– Provide support for; electrical estimating, installations and maintenance including but not limited to work opportunities in residential and commercial sectors including panels upgrades, industrial equipment, lighting, EV Car Chargers, generators, electrical home inspections, exterior and interior lighting.
– Initiate and secure B2B opportunities and relationships with reputable contractors, renovators, and home owners.
– Work with divisional office and field staff and work collaboratively with other divisions to achieve overall divisional success.
– Help develop electricians to become better performers by guiding, mentoring, and training field staff to meet performance needs.
– Coordinate and facilitate interaction with other divisions to improve workflow, business harmony and brand experience.
– Help develop and add technological platforms to increase performance and efficiency of division
– Submit monthly reports in a timely manner and ensure that Electrical Services divisional information is current, relevant and accurate.

SALARY:
$80,000 – $90,000 per year
