• Work closely with forepersons and project managers to implement and monitor the company’s health and safety policies and procedures on jobsites.
• Travel to jobsites and conduct regular site inspections, safety audits, and risk assessments to identify hazards and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
• Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions, and prepare detailed reports with recommendations.
• Lead Joint Health & Safety Committee and collaborate with management and worker representatives.
• Support site supervisors and project managers in developing, implementing, and enforcing site-specific safety plans, policies, and procedures.
• Ensure proper use of PPE and adherence to safe work procedures among employees and subcontractors.
• Lead and participate in toolbox talks, safety meetings, and job hazard analyses (JHAs).
• Maintain accurate safety records, including training certifications, inspection logs, and incident reports.
• Stay up to date with relevant safety legislation and industry best practices (e.g., OHSA, CSA standards, WSIB requirements).

• Must be able to obtain Level 2 (Secret) Clearance.
• Certification in health and safety (e.g., CRSP, CHSO, NCSO, or equivalent) is an asset.
• Sound knowledge of construction safety regulations, electrical safety standards, and risk mitigation practices.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient with safety management systems.
